Dr. Sharon Branscome is a native of Kingstree, SC. She attended Francis Marion University in Florence, SC, originally intending to complete a degree in Accounting. During this time, she accepted a position in optical sales, where she developed a strong appreciation for the eye care industry and the profession of optometry.
While completing her undergraduate studies, she was a member of the academic honor societies Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2002 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration – General Business, and was subsequently accepted into the Optometry program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).
At UAB, Dr. Branscome was also inducted into the academic honor society Beta Sigma Kappa. After graduating in 2006, she relocated to Florida and began practicing at Gulf Coast Vision Center until 2008. She then played a key role in establishing and managing her own private optometry practices in Niceville, Panama City, and Fort Walton Beach.
Dr. Branscome currently resides in Niceville with her husband and two teenage daughters. She has a passion for business management and is excited to continue providing comprehensive eye care at Bayside Vision Center. Her services include diabetic eye examinations, pre- and post-operative consultations for cataract and LASIK procedures, routine eye exams for eyeglasses and contact lenses, and the treatment and management of ocular diseases.
